ELIGIBILITY
GENERAL CRITERIA
Application for this scholarship is open to any graduate of Grandview High School who is currently engaged in continuing his/her education.
The applicant shall have prepared for the goal of continuing his/her education past high school with course readiness. Candidate shall be a person with objectives for his/her future; planning to undertake college or vocational training; and shall be a person of commitment.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Current amount of the scholarship is $400.00 and if you were a graduating senior, the scholarship would be paid to you the fall of your second year of college. If you have completed a year of Running Start through YVCC or any college that offers this program while completing your senior year of high school. You are considered to have completed one-year of college when you graduate from high school and the Running Start Program.
The Running Start Program enables students to complete some of their college requirements while still in high school thus, making their college term shorter and less expensive

The Grandview High School Alumni Association administers the Grandview High School Alumni Scholarship Fund. In the past a number of people have made donations to the Alumni Scholarship Fund in the name of a deceased classmate or teacher as a memorial. A card is sent to the deceased person's family notifying them that a memorial donation has been made to the Scholarship Fund. In the future there will be a plaque, commemorating these memorial donations.

MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is established in memory of Leota Scott Davis Peterson who
passed away in 2004. Leota would have been 102 years old in July, 2004. After
consultation with her family it was determined that a scholarship or
scholarships given to drama a student would best honor her memory. Leota was
instrumental in getting drama classes going in the local school district. This
scholarship(s) will be available to a graduating Grandview High School senior(s)
who has shown interest, desire and ability in the field of drama. Applications
can be obtained from Cookie Shannon. 1003 Vivian Dr., Grandview, WA 98930 or
e-mail cookshan@bentonrea.com or phone 508-882-3198 after January 1, 2005. An
applications is also available at the high school counselor’s secretary’s office
after January 1, 2005. The deadline for scholarship applications will be the
last day of April each year. It is hoped that this scholarship can be given each
year.
